Frequently asked questions.
What political party are you affiliated with?
I refuse to take part in a system that continues to fail its citizens, further cause division, and make humanity have an “us vs. them” mindset. I want radical progress in this community and this nation. I do not want to control your life or restrict your freedoms. I see truths being spoken on both sides of the spectrum. Davis has influenced me a great deal, I am not going to tell you a lie. So did Tennessee.
Why are you running for city council?
Davis is the town that raised me. I grew up here. I learned how to fail here, how to get back up here, how to become a better human here. Every street, every park, every greenbelt, every teacher, every neighbor has shaped the person I am today. This community gave me stability when I didn’t always feel stable, and gave me direction when life felt confusing. I owe this place more than I can ever repay, and serving on the City Council is my way of giving back.
I work in mental health, on the front lines of some of the toughest challenges people face: housing insecurity, trauma, crisis, recovery. That work has taught me something simple but powerful: every person you meet is carrying something you can’t see. And yet people show up, they keep going, they keep trying. That resilience deserves a government that listens, understands, and leads with humanity.
I’m running because I believe Davis deserves leadership that is compassionate, practical, and rooted in real experience with people’s lives. Leadership that sees our challenges not as abstractions but as human realities. Leadership that brings new energy, new ideas, and a willingness to actually show up, listen, and respond.
I’m running because I believe in this community’s potential. I believe we can make our streets safer, our neighborhoods stronger, our housing more attainable, and our city more compassionate. And I believe the best way to build a better future is to do it together — as neighbors, as families, as people who care about one another.
I’m running for City Council because I love this town. I love its messiness, its brilliance, its imperfections, its heart. And I want to help make sure Davis continues to be a place where people can grow, heal, raise families, find community, and feel seen.
I’m here to serve.
I’m here to listen.
I’m here because I believe in us.
Truthfully, I love you, and want to see you all succeed, flourish, and thrive. I want to see us live in harmony, I want us to gather as a community and lift each other up, not tear one another down. Davis already does that. We are already doing so amazing. I see things in the town that raised me and it hurts me to see people living on the street. It hurts me even more to have conversations with them and hear how people in this town treat them. It sickens me, actually. I want to solve that.
