I started a podcast called “The Intuitive Idiot” back in college. With only a few episodes published, I would love to transition it into a platform for Davis community members to share their story and experiences. The name may be abrasive to some, and perhaps the logo as well, but I have been described as the smartest idiot my friends have ever met. I do not mean “Idiot” to be insulting, but rather an act of humility to accept no matter how smart anybody is, we are still human. And humans make mistakes, sometimes in idiotic ways. And that is okay, as we are all exceptionally gifted in our own way. And at the end of the day, our intuition guides our decisions whether we are aware or not. This platform is more of a free form, longer form space for people to collaborate with one another, learn from each other, and provide a platform for those who are otherwise feeling unseen, or unheard.
The logo to me is not meant to be spooky, although I understand how it may seem to some. To me, it symbolizes that underneath our skin differences, gender differences, or diverse looks, what lies beneath us remains the same for all. Our skeleton connects us on a species-level, and I want to collaborate with those who may look different than me on the outside, have diverse experiences, but at the end of the day share in my humanity.
